7. Write down the differences between the following personality disorders :

Schizoid and Borderline

Ans:  Schizoid personality disorder: The term ‘schizoid’ refers to the natural tendency to direct attention toward one’s inner life away from the external world. A person with schizoid personality disorder is detached and aloof, and prone to introspection and fantasy.

People with borderline personality disorder essentially lack a sense of self-worth and thus, experience feelings of emptiness and fears of abandonment. There is a pattern of emotional instability, violent outbursts, and impulsive behaviour.

8. Write down the differences between the following personality disorders :

Narcissistic and Avoidant

Ans:    Narcissistic personality disorder: People with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they are more important than others. They lack empathy for other people and tend to exaggerate their own achievements.

Avoidant personality disorder: People with this type of disorder are socially inept, unappealing, or inferior, and constantly fear being embarrassed, criticised, or rejected. They avoid meeting others and often experience feelings of inadequacy, inferiority, or unattractiveness.

9. How can you protect your spreadsheet with a password?

Ans:    The steps to protect a spreadsheet are as follows.

  1. Click on Tools and select Protect Spreadsheet
  2. A Protect Document dialog box appears
  3. Type in a password.
  4. Type the same password in the Confirm textbox.
  5. Click on OK.

  • Having a positive attitude is important while receiving and giving feedback.
  • During a feedback conversation, it is important to speak positively.

Ans: The fear of failure causes self-doubt. One starts doubting oneself and may even feel like giving up. Self-doubt comes when we do not have confidence in ourselves and our abilities.

12. Enumerate the contents of transfer and discharge notes.

Ans: When a patient is transferred to another facility, either temporarily or permanently, a transfer note is written. This note may include the following:

● Reason for transfer

● Method of transportation

● Person giving and receiving the report

● Notification of the patient, including vital signs and treatments in progress.

A similar note is made when a patient is sent for a test within the same facility. When the patient returns to the unit, a similar note may be made.

   

13. How can infectious solid waste and chemical waste be disposed off properly?

Ans: 

  • Disposal of infectious solid waste: it is first treated and converted to non–hazardous waste, which is then disposed of as general waste.
  • Disposal of chemical waste: Non-hazardous waste is disposed of as general waste, and hazardous waste is first converted into non–hazardous waste and then disposed of as general waste.

Ans: Older adults who have a mental, sensory (eyes, ears), or physical loss are at greater risk and prone to accidents. An old patient who has poor vision and hearing is generally confused and has poor judgment. He is prone to slips, falls, cuts, bruises, etc.

Physical problems, confusion, loss of hearing and vision, poor judgment, and the inability to see danger when it exists are some of the reasons why healthcare providers must maintain a safe environment for the elderly.    

18. Write down the role of sterile or aseptic zone in the Operation Theatre.

Ans:    It includes operation rooms, which are kept sterile. This zone includes:
